What do you mean by Linguistic Grammar?

Linguistic grammar represents a departure from traditional grammar, describing the English language in terms of the form and function of its own organization, avoiding the traditionally imposed prescriptions of a Latin-based grammar as well as the traditional definitions of the parts of speech that often present more exceptions than rules.
